Pro Bono Attorney Spotlight: Madeleine Mannello
Madeleine Mannello, Esq. is an attorney at The Winston Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale. She also is the Chair of the Broward County Bar Association’s Voluntary Bar Liaison Committee where she coordinates community service and legal aid efforts among local voluntary bar associations.
Mannello also volunteers her time with Broward Lawyers Care (BLC) and has been a valuable contributor to Broward Lawyers Care Advice and Counsel Hotline. Most recently she has taken on a pro bono family law case.
Ms. Mannello is an experienced trial attorney who litigates in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, and construction defects. She began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for Broward County, and she went on to represent the State of Florida as Assistant Attorney General. As a former Assistant State Attorney and Assistant Attorney General, Mannello has tried more trials than most civil attorneys will see in their entire careers. Before joining the Winston Law Firm, Mannello worked in the Fort Lauderdale office of an AmLaw 200 international insurance defense firm, where she defended insurance companies against plaintiff’s lawsuits. This experience provided her with inside knowledge of how insurance companies and their defense teams work.
Madeleine is a past-president of the Broward County Women Lawyers Association. She also has served on The Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, board member for The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, and Executive Council member for The Florida Bar Government Lawyer Section. Madeleine is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and a Cum Laude graduate in Political Science from the University of Florida.
